Monasterium Laboratory's cell lines and primary cells can be incorporated into 2D co-culture models to assess compound action on two or more cell populations (e.g. keratinocytes and fibroblasts to study epithelial-mesenchymal interactions). These simple models represent a more cost-effective analysis to ex vivo models for assessing early-stage compounds for cosmeceutical, nutraceutical and therapeutic applications in the skin and hair follicle. The models can be custom built to order or you can take advantage of our already established co-culture methods. In addition, specific ethnicities or diseases can be chosen to screen new compounds or lead candidates. Please see the pages on Human Cell Lines and Human Primary Cells for the cells that are available for building co-culture models.
